Confluence of Cultures – Leadership Development, Classical Dance, Songs and More!

The first day of Leadership Development Program for the Sri Lankan delegates was ended on a splendid note. After a day filled with various training activities, a cultural event was organised yesterday by REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE) for the guests.

Hosted by the School of Performing Arts, a much revered cultural wing of the REVA University, the evening was a confluence of two ancient cultures as we paid tribute to Ananda Kentish Muthu Coomaraswamy, a Sri Lankan Tamil philosopher and an early interpreter of Indian art to the West.

The exuberant evening was started with Maha Ganapathim, a Sanskrit shloka dedicated to invoke Lord Ganesha and followed by an exquisite line-up of Indian classical dance and music performances, including Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Khatak, folk and Hindustani recitals.

We take this opportunity to thank the super-talented School of Performing Arts team, including the Director and students for making the evening a much admired, and enlightening one for the Sri Lankan delegates.
