REVA University Inaugurates Business Analytics & Cybersecurity Class of 2018-21

Bengaluru, 29-09-2018: As part of the programs offered for working professionals, today REVA University inaugurated the Business Analytics and Cybersecurity batches for the year 2018-19 at its Bengaluru campus in Kattigehalli, Yelahanka. Over 50 working professionals from various organisations have signed up for the programs. Welcoming the dignitaries and program participants, Dr.S.Y. Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor of the University commended the importance of the programs offered for the working professionals. Dr.P.Shyama Raju, Honourable Chancellor of REVA University formally inaugurated the programs by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted on the world-class educational facilities offered by the university for its students, the importance of upgrading skills-sets among the working professionals by signing up for programs in their area of interest and how a good education and governance can create upright citizens.

Chief Guest Mr.Ram Periyagra, Partner – Consulting Advisory, PwC shared insights on present-day cybersecurity domain through his address on the topic ‘Cyber – Today’s Point of View’. Dr.Mandar Mutalkdesai, Group Manager – Analytics, IBM delivered a keynote speech on ‘Reasoning and Insights Using Cognitive Computing’. His presentation involved extensive knowledge sharing and interaction with the attendees.

After the inaugural function, the fourth batch of PGDM in Business Analytics, offered in association with IBM and the very first batch of PG Diploma in Cybersecurity, Powered by AforeCybersec and offered in association with IBM, were commenced with special knowledge sessions led by the industry leaders.
