About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Associate Professor with a strong academic foundation and relevant industry experience in the field of Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Cybersecurity with a proven track record of research publications, project leadership, and academic delivery.
This position combines responsibilities in academics, research, and development (R&D). The selected candidate will drive high-quality academic delivery, lead cybersecurity-focused research and development projects, and play an instrumental role in proposal writing and securing research funding.
Job Role and Responsibilities
Academics:
- Deliver PG and corporate training programs in Cybersecurity.
- Mentor students and professionals in learning, research, and Capstone Projects.
- Design curriculum, labs, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
Industry Engagement:
- Collaborate with industry for real-world projects, case studies, and consultancy.
- Promote hands-on labs, ethical hacking challenges, and simulated environments.
- Support student placements and internships through corporate connect.
Technical Content & Promotion:
- Create technical and promotional content for courses, research, and marketing.
- Represent the institution in webinars, conferences, and panel discussions.
Research & Development:
- Lead ongoing research projects and guide research scholars.
- Publish in reputed journals/conferences (Scopus/SCI).
- Submit research proposals for external funding (e.g., DST, MeitY).
- Collaborate across disciplines to drive innovation in cybersecurity.
Administrative:
- Participate in curriculum design, academic planning, and committee work.
- Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA) and documentation.
- Manage labs, procurement planning, and student performance monitoring.
- Assist with faculty development, admissions, and examination processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Applications or related fields.
- M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc IT with strong academic, technical and research background.
- 3–5 years of experience in teaching and research
- 3-5 years in IT or related industry
- Proven record in research project mentoring, research proposal writing, and leading R&D teams.
- Published in reputed journals and conferences.
- Experience in managing end-to-end project development and applying theoretical models in real-world scenarios.
- Familiarity with research grants and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Technical Skills & Tools
Hands on experience on Cybersecurity tools: Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, Suricata, SIEM, Kali Linux suite, Python, and other similar tools
