Semester- I

The common foundation the rest of the degree stands on. Learners cover enterprise network foundations — TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, load balancing — and the cloud constructs that mirror them: VPC and VNet, subnets, security groups and network security groups. Operating system security follows across Windows and Linux: users, groups, permissions, services, patching, hardening baselines, host firewalls, endpoint telemetry and audit logs. Then identity, which is where cloud security actually lives — authentication, authorization, federation, SSO, RBAC, ABAC, privileged access, MFA, conditional access, service identities and key management. It closes on Zero Trust proper: verify explicitly, least privilege, assume breach, micro-segmentation, device trust, continuous monitoring and policy-driven enforcement — then packet capture, log review and a validated secure baseline.

Learners cover cloud computing concepts including business drivers, scalability, elasticity, high availability, fault tolerance, capex versus opex, deployment models and shared responsibility; then virtualization and service models across hypervisors, VM lifecycle, snapshots, images, containers, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless and managed services. Security operations on the Microsoft stack, taught as SOC work rather than product tourism. Learners cover security operations foundations — SOC models, analyst roles, telemetry sources, alert lifecycle, incident triage, escalation, evidence handling and operational metrics. Then Microsoft Defender XDR operations across endpoint, identity, cloud apps and email, covering incidents, advanced hunting, exposure management and response actions. Microsoft Sentinel configuration follows: workspaces, data connectors, analytics rules, watchlists, workbooks, incidents, entity mapping and content hub solutions. Then KQL, hunting and threat intelligence — query structure, filtering, joins, aggregations, hunting hypotheses, threat indicators and investigation notebooks. It closes on incident response and automation: playbooks, Logic Apps, case management, containment, reporting and lessons learned.

Learners cover AI security foundations — the AI/ML lifecycle, LLM applications, agentic workflows, model endpoints, data pipelines, threat surfaces and where security responsibility actually sits across teams. Then LLM and agentic AI risks: prompt injection, data exfiltration, insecure tool use, excessive agency, model denial of service and output manipulation. Cloud-native security posture follows — CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, workload identity, runtime protection, image scanning, IaC risk and cloud entitlement management. Then privacy and data governance: data classification, retention, cross-border data transfer, consent, data processing roles, privacy-by-design and cloud data protection controls. Learners cover hybrid cloud fundamentals — operating models, workload placement, public-private integration, connectivity options, governance boundaries and the business drivers behind migration; then workload discovery and migration assessment: dependencies, readiness, performance baselines, risk, application rationalisation and 6R/7R migration strategies. Hybrid networking and identity follows — VPN, direct connectivity, DNS, routing, firewalling, identity federation, directory synchronisation and access governance. Then migration planning and execution: migration waves, landing zones, data migration, testing, cutover, rollback, automation and stakeholder communication. It closes on resilience and continuity — backup, high availability, disaster recovery, RTO and RPO, failover testing, monitoring and post-migration optimisation.

Twelve credits, 360 hours, one real cloud architecture, cloud security, DevSecOps or cloud operations problem. Learners work through problem identification and scoping — industry problem selection, stakeholder analysis, objectives, success criteria, deliverables, project plan and risk register; then review and design: literature review, architecture review, tool comparison, standards alignment, solution design and methodology. Implementation or assessment follows — cloud deployment, automation, security testing, monitoring setup, GRC assessment, migration prototype or operational runbook development. Then validation and improvement: test cases, architecture validation, performance and security checks, cost analysis, risk analysis and mentor review iterations. It closes on reporting and viva — final report, evidence, diagrams, executive summary, demonstration and defence before academic and industry mentors.

I had an excellent experience with the **REVA University RACE program**, through which I obtained my **Certified AI Engineer** certificate. The program was well-structured, starting with Python basics, then covering ML algorithms, deep learning concepts, and finally integrating everything with AWS and Azure.

A special mention to **Dr. Bharatheesh Jaysimha and Dr. Pradeepta** for their outstanding teaching, and **Dr. Shinu Abhi** for the seamless coordination of the program. The learning environment was highly supportive, and the faculty ensured that every student felt comfortable and engaged throughout the course. **Dr. Simha’s** guidance during the Capstone project was invaluable—his attention to every detail, from data collection to final presentations, made a huge difference.

One personal experience I’d love to share: Initially, I was hesitant to join the program because of the **50 KM daily commute in Bangalore traffic**. However, after attending just one session by **Dr. Simha**, I realized the immense value of this course and never skipped a single class afterward! The excitement of learning made the daily travel completely worthwhile.

Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience! This course made it easy for me to clear my AWS AI Practitioner certification, and now I am preparing for my AWS ML Engineer certification, while continuing to revisit the recorded sessions and study materials provided by REVA.

It is a very clean and green campus. The RACE has faculty mostly has of external lecturers from the IT Industry and it is great learning from them. The RACE staff are friendly and helpful. The campus is spread out and has a great vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Overall RACE is a great place to study for your higher studies.

I am currently doing my Masters in Cyber Security from this institute and I hope after completing it, it will give me an edge in the IT and Research Industry.

In 2019, I was seeking an MBA program. I researched numerous Tier-2 executive MBA programs to make sure I could make the most of the money I had spent on the program. However, I was dismayed to find from numerous responders that part-time MBA programs at Tier-2 B-schools are not even close to matching their full-time equivalents.

RACE was a really unique experience. The executive MBA ended up educating you far more than a full-time course would have. Top-notch mentors from major multinational corporations were imparting all of their real-world work experiences into their lectures; mind you, they consisted of divisional heads, CTOs, and architects in their respective fields of specialty. What was most extraordinary was the sheer number of modules taught and the variety of perspectives offered through those modules.

All of the theories we had learned in class and, most crucially, how to master structured thinking had to be put to the test in our end-to-end, real-time capstone projects, which had to be designed, implemented, deployed, presented, documented, and published. After receiving my degree, I was able to say with a guarantee that it was more than just PAISA WASOOL. Not because I was able to earn a degree which I would have otherwise received from any institution. However, the kind of super churning I went through has given me such a strong sense of fulfilment and confidence.

I feel I can challenge anyone to give me any business analytics challenges, and I will not let them down by letting them doubt my abilities and knowledge levels, which I was able to enhance through my degree program at RACE Reva University.

Academics: As working professional I felt bit heavy with Subjects but professors are really coming from realtime background and helps to resolve the doubts.. structured curriculum makes journey smoother.

Campus: Definitely you would feel campus like some foreign University...you would love to visit every Saturday without hesitation..

This is a globally accredited program to make the participants truly global citizens.
