Analytics & AI Ahead: Key Takeaways from RACE’s 8th BoS

The future of learning doesn’t unfold in isolation—it evolves through dialogue, insight, and collaboration. On 21st June 2025, REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE), REVA University, hosted the 8th Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for its flagship Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence programs. This wasn’t just a formal academic ritual—it was a strategic reset, an energizing exchange between the minds shaping the next generation of digital professionals.

Welcoming Visionaries of Change

The meeting commenced with a warm and thoughtful address by Dr. Shinu Abhi (Professor and Director Corporate Programs – RACE), who welcomed all attendees to the 8th Board of Studies (BoS) for the Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics programs at REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE). Her introduction was more than ceremonial—it was a heartfelt acknowledgment of the individuals who form the backbone of the program’s evolution.

She acknowledged the diverse minds shaping RACE’s AI and Business Analytics programs—university leaders, industry experts, alumni, and academic teams.

Special thanks were extended to Dr. Sanjay Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Shobana from the School of C&IT, for their continued support. Dr. Shinu highlighted industry leaders like Dr. Simha (“our North Star”), Ratnakar Pandey, Pradeepta Mishra, Dr. Angshuman Ghosh, and Dr. Santosh for their insights and impact.

She also recognized alumni contributors—Ganesh, for strengthening ties with Infosys, and Ashok, for his ongoing engagement. Concluding with appreciation for the internal teams, she reminded everyone: “This program is our shared product.”

As higher education evolves to meet the needs of Industry 5.0, our programs remain aligned with the academic frameworks laid out by NAAC, NBA, UGC, and AICTE while also embracing global academic and professional standards.

The AICTE Approval Handbook 2024-25 now encourages integration of emerging tech skills and industry-academia collaborations to bridge the talent gap in the country.

At the heart of this alignment is our BoS—an interdisciplinary group of advisors who ensure that our curriculum goes beyond the classroom. They help us stay ahead of market needs, technological innovation, and regulatory shifts.

Programs Built for Industry, Not Just Classrooms

At the core of our M.Sc. in Business Analytics and M.Tech/M.Sc in AI programs is a strong alignment with real-world job roles—both in the technology-driven AI space and business-facing analytics domains.
