Anshuma’s career sits at the intersection of technology, business transformation and leadership. At Applied Materials India, she has led digital transformation, AI adoption and technology-enabled innovation across global and regional organisations.

A key milestone has been scaling technology capabilities and leadership capacity in India during a period of significant growth. She contributed to expanding the organisation severalfold while building high-performing teams, strengthening leadership pipelines and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Shaping Industry Ecosystems

Beyond her corporate role, Anshuma serves as Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and as a member of its global strategy and operations teams, contributing to initiatives that advance the engineering profession and support women leaders worldwide. She has also initiated semiconductor cybersecurity forums that provide platforms for collaboration, thought leadership and knowledge sharing among industry leaders.

Advancing Women in Technology

For Anshuma, empowering women through technology begins with access, confidence, opportunity and strong support networks. She was the founding President of the Women Professional Development Network (WPDN) at Applied Materials India, an employee resource group established more than a decade ago to help women develop leadership capabilities, strengthen their networks and find their voice in the workplace.

Mentorship remains central to her leadership. She mentors women within and outside the organisation through industry forums, leadership programmes and professional networks. She has also helped establish more than 15 computer labs and numerous libraries in underprivileged schools, expanding access to digital learning for young children, particularly girls.
