Sindhu Gangadharan has been recognised at the Top 10 Women Tech Leaders India Awards 2026, presented by REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE), REVA University. The awards honour women who lead with impact in technology and actively create opportunities for other women.

Sindhu Gangadharan is one of the leading voices in global technology, widely recognised for championing innovation that delivers meaningful business and societal impact. Often described as a Technology Humanist, she believes technology fulfils its true potential when it serves people, businesses and communities alike.

Leading with Impact

Over a 27-year career at SAP, Sindhu has held strategic leadership roles spanning engineering, product development and customer engagement. After studying Computer Science at Bangalore University, she joined SAP Labs India as a software developer in 1999. Two years later, she moved to SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, where she rose through product management, heading SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, HANA Cloud Integration and SAP Cloud Platform IoT, and serving as Chief Product Owner for SAP’s integration portfolio. From 2018, she led the Intelligent Enterprise Program.

In 2019, she returned to Bengaluru and became the first woman to lead SAP Labs India as its Managing Director. She now leads SAP Labs India while also serving as Head of Customer Industry Solutions at SAP globally. These complementary roles allow her to bridge innovation and customer success, combining technical expertise with customer insight to help organisations accelerate their digital transformation.

Bridging Two Innovation Economies

Sindhu serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Siemens India and as President of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, advancing bilateral trade, business collaboration and strategic dialogue between India and Germany. Until April 2026, she served as Chairperson of nasscom, India’s apex technology industry body, helping to shape the next chapter of India’s USD 1 trillion digital economy.

Inclusive Leadership

While her career has earned wide recognition, Sindhu measures success by the people around her. As the first woman to lead SAP Labs India, she has made inclusive leadership central to how she builds teams, and much of her industry recognition reflects her contribution to a more diverse and inclusive IT industry in India. A frequent TEDx speaker, she shares her perspectives on technology, leadership, innovation and the future of work with diverse audiences.

Sindhu is based in Bengaluru, where she lives with her husband, two daughters and their dog, Dexter.
