REVA University, Bengaluru, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Continental Automotive India for a three-year joint research program. The program aims to collaborate on autonomous driving technologies, automotive cybersecurity, and cloud computing solutions. The initiative is part of the UniConn project, an industry-academia collaboration by Continental Automotive India’s Technical Center.

The signing of the MOU marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Continental Automotive India and REVA University. Through this collaboration, Continental Automotive India will utilize its technical expertise, while REVA University will provide academic expertise. This joint effort is expected to benefit both parties in terms of acquiring technology competence and academic excellence.

The MOU was signed by Latha Chembrakalam, Head of Technical Centre, Continental Automotive India, and Dhanamjaya Madiraju, Vice Chancellor, REVA University, in the presence of academic directors and the Honorable Chancellor of REVA University, Dr. P Shyama Raju.

Ms. Latha Chembrakalam, endorsed the future possibilities, testifying- “The MOU signing ceremony was a significant milestone, as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in our pursuit of innovation and growth in the automotive industry.”

To bridge the gap between industry and academia, the joint program will offer opportunities to students in the form of internships and specially designed coursework. The program will focus on providing unique learning experiences in cutting-edge technologies in automotive systems.

As part of the collaboration, Latha Chembrakalam addressed students with a session on “Trends in Mobility,” followed by “On the way to Autonomous Mobility” by Ganesh S Rao.
